El lloro.
El lloro is a photographic project that captures the different skies of the globe on a single, meaningful day: October 16th, 2022. The same day, I scattered the ashes of my best friend, muse and grandmother, Teresa.
The book brings together 185 images taken by 117 professionals and amateur photographers from around the world, all captured within the same 24-hour timeline. Skies from New Zealand to Japan, crossing through Spain and the United States, Mexico, among others. Each photograph reflects a unique piece of sky, yet all are connected under one singular, shared sky. El lloro becomes a tribute to grief, memory, and the universal language of the sky.
